BRTC MEMBERS SHINE IN BRITISH LADIES MASTERS

The 2012 LRTA British Ladies Masters Singles Championship and Handicap Doubles Tournament were held at the Royal Tennis Court, Hampton Court over the weekend of 16th - 18th March.

The top 14 players competed in the Singles Championship, playing off level, and this year there were no contenders from BRTC.  However two Bristol ladies, Barbara Bush and Claire Stacey, played in the associated Handicap Doubles Round-Robin competition.  Barbara and her partner narrowly missed getting through to the final, coming second in their group, whereas Claire and her partner (playing off 80) managed to win their group with a set in hand.  

Unfortunately they were less successful in the final, which they lost 8-2.

The Beale Trophy - Club Under 18 Open Singles Championship and the Exmoor Horn - Club Under 18 Handicap Championship 6th April, Match at home v The LRTA 7th April, Match at home v The Dedanists 13th April, 30-44 Handicap Singles Tournament 14th April, Country Members Weekend 20th-21st April and The Barford Salver - Club Open Singles Championship 27th-28th April.
